About Us
We publish a free, fast browser version of Yukon Solitaire — the single-deck patience game with no stock where any face-up card can move — with unlimited undo, hints, auto-finish, and a layout that works on any screen.
Our craft
One deck. Every card in play.
Uncover the hidden cards, plan your Kings, lift every suit home. That loop is everything we design around.

What we make
yukonsolitaire.app is the site behind our version of Yukon Solitaire. The product is a single-player card game: deal seven columns with every card on the table, move face-up cards and the cards on them between columns, and send all 52 cards to four foundation piles built by suit from Ace to King.
We are not an app-store publisher and there is nothing to download. The game is the website. That keeps load times short, works on phones and desktops alike, and avoids an account wall. Wins, best times, move counts, and streaks live in local browser storage on your device.
If you are comparing this to another solitaire site, this page only speaks for yukonsolitaire.app. The rules and controls described in our how-to-play guide and FAQ match this exact build.
Our story
Patience games have a long history, and Yukon is one of the most open of them. We treat that as a responsibility to get the rules exactly right and the friction as close to zero as we can.
Single-player patience games are documented in Europe from the late 1700s. Klondike took its name from the gold rush in Canada’s Klondike region, and Yukon — named for the surrounding territory — follows the same theme. Its exact origin is not well documented, and it is closely related to Russian Solitaire, which uses the same layout but builds on cards of the same suit.
Klondike hides 24 cards in a stock; Yukon deals all 52 to the tableau, so there is no luck of the turn. The trade is a rule that looks odd at first — you can pick up any face-up card along with everything stacked on it, in order or not. That single rule turns Yukon into a game of planning rather than card-turning.
yukonsolitaire.app is an independent, modern implementation of standard Yukon rules. The rules are unchanged; what is new is a rendering that is smooth on a phone, a layout that keeps all seven columns and four foundations on one screen, synthesized sound with a real mute, and tools — hints, auto-finish, unlimited undo — that make learning the game painless.
What we stand for
Open the page and press Deal. No account wall, no download, no splash video — the cards are on the table before you finish reading this sentence.
Unlimited undo, a hint when you want one, and auto-finish for the last few cards. Nothing is gated behind a "pro" toggle and nothing nags you to install an app.
Wins, best time, fewest moves, and win streak live on your device. We do not hold your record hostage behind a login, because there is no login.
The whole game is free. No energy meters, no interstitial video ads between deals, no surprise paywall on the hint button.
Who it is for
yukonsolitaire.app is a family-friendly, single-player game with no chat and no store. A poor fit if you want multiplayer or live events; a good fit if you want the real game of Yukon, with the rules as they should be, on whatever screen is nearby.
A deal takes a few minutes to ten. Yukon is built for a phone on the couch or a browser tab between tasks, not a long campaign.
Nothing is hidden in a stock and nothing reacts to you. The whole challenge is looking ahead and choosing the order of your moves.
Your record stays on the device you played on. That is a deliberate trade: instant play and real privacy, with no cloud restore.
Why this site
There are plenty of Yukon games online. This one exists to ship a single honest, fast version — correct rules, a board that fits your phone, and no clutter.
Any face-up card moves with everything on it, Kings fill empty columns, foundations build by suit. Every rule described in the how-to-play guide is the rule this engine enforces.
Unlimited undo, a hint that points at a useful move, and auto-finish so a solved board does not cost you a dozen forced clicks.
No auto-playing video, no fake "download our app" banners, no dark patterns around the settings. The board is the page.
How we build
The game runs entirely on the web: fast loads, drag / tap / keyboard controls, and progress that stays local unless you clear your browser data. We use lightweight analytics to see what helps players — never to gate the game behind a profile. The engine on the home page is the one described on our rules pages, so search results and the live game never drift apart.
Phone, tablet, and desktop share one board. Drag with a mouse, tap on a touchscreen, or use the keyboard shortcuts for undo, hint, and auto-finish.
Wins, best time, fewest moves, and streak are stored locally. You own the continuity of your record without signing up.
We watch aggregate usage through Google Analytics to improve pacing and polish. Details are in our Privacy Policy — never as a sales pitch.
